  • the rev. geoff hatley

Geoff is our head pastor, or in Anglican speak “Rector” which is just an old way of saying head pastor.  He grew up mostly in Fairfax, Va though he also lived in South Korea, Saudi Arabia and Iran.  “I was able to experience other cultures at an early age,” he says. “That really helps a person gain a much broader perspective on the world.”

He met his future bride Kelly at Virginia Tech at a Campus Crusade for Christ event when they were freshmen.  While there they were married, had their first son and both graduated in 1992.  Geoff was a full-time youth minister for 7 years in the Episcopal church. He graduated with a Masters of Divinity with a counseling emphasis from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi in 2004. He was called to help plant St. Andrews upon graduation and has been here ever since.

Geoff and Kelly have three adult children and a precious granddaughter and grandson.  He loves sports, fishing, off-roading, hiking, and reading. He is passionate about preaching the word and helping people grow in their faith.

  • The Rev. Michael Kessler

Michael received a Master of Divinity in Missions from the Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS.  He has worked with the Jesus Film Project of Campus Crusade for Christ, and has been a youth minister, missionary, and pastor.  Michael has also taught many Christian classes, including seminary classes overseas.

Michael has graciously accepted the position of heading up our Anglican Leadership Development Program. This is a program designed to produce future spiritual leaders for our church, church plants, and the mission field.  It provides our people with the knowledge and experience they need to help others, while deepening their relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • nathan pickle, music leader

Nathan leads our music team at St. Andrew's. He developed a love of music growing up singing acapella in the Churches of Christ, and has been playing guitar and singing on worship teams since coming into the

Anglican/Episcopal tradition in 2013. He is passionate about incorporating the best of the rich musical heritage of the Church, whether it be old, new, or ancient. On any given Sunday at St. Andrew's,  you may hear chants, traditional hymns, contemporary worship, and anything in between.

Nathan was born in Texas but claims Colorado as home, having spent most of his childhood years there. Nathan and his wife Sarah have lived in Madison since 2018. During the week you can find Nathan doing research in biomechanics. He has a BS in Physics from Abilene Christian University, and MS and PhD degrees in engineering from Colorado School of Mines. He and Sarah have three lovely children. He

enjoys soccer, running, being outside, and dreaming up more crazy ideas than he will ever have time to pursue.
